Middleton Beach was on the 'to-do' list and didn't dissapoint as we saw a whale and her calf about 30 metres from the beach
Albany Sound, Albany, WA

Visited the Sandelwood factory just outside Albany and took the guided tour, very interesting and informative - bought a few goodies!

Took a morning Whale watching cruise. Although we saw the backs of the whales, I don't think they will appear in the photos or video - It was cold!!!!

Albany, WA. The Whale watching tour. We did get glimpses of some Whales, but nothing spectacular.

The caravan park was clean and well laid out. All expected amenities were available plus a 2 acre for allowing dogs to run around off the leash.

It was the most expensive so far ($34 per night). The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Albany, WA - The Journey

On leaving Esperance we were going to break the journey to Albany by stopping over for the night at Ravensthorpe, however we changed our minds when we arrived and continued on to Albany.  Total distance 485 Kilometres. It rained for much of the journey, but we had expected the rain as it had been forecast.
The roads were good with little traffic
