The city of Broken Hill is very presentable, clean, tidy and well laid-out.

We drove about 50 kilometres (round trip) to Silverton to look around the mine and other attractions there.

We actually took the mine underground tour and walked around Silverton (used in many Australian movies including 'Mad Max' and 'The Alice'.
