Port Augusta, SA -Round and about
We arrived in Port Augusta on a Sunday and noticed that the shops in East Port Augusta were closed. We drove over the bridge to West Port Augusta where the caravan park was located and decided not to unhitch the car from the van. Instead we used the sunny day to wash a weeks lot of laundry and make a loaf of bread (which will last us two or three days).'It also means less preparation to do when we head off to Elliston in the morning.
It only took a couple of hours to dry the clothes (clothes lines supplied) in a great sunny Sunday afternoon.
Digital TV is confined to ABC and SBS with Analogue TV for the commercial stations (as was the case with Peterborough).
The DVD's we brought with us are getting used most nights.
We have noticed that the night skies are much clearer and seem to display much more of the solar system than can be seen from the cities. The night skies are simply awesome.
